Vermont Rail System's salt extra train is hauling 48 loads from Whitehall, NY to Bellows Falls, VT and delivery to the New England Central Railroad. After cutting the head two units off to retrieve empties from the NECR interchange track in Bellows Falls, the remainder of the train proceeded toward the NECR Palmer Subdivision along the Connecticut River in Bellows Falls, with New Hampshire on the opposite shore. The train now was led by GMRC GP40 304, VTR GP40-2 303, CLP GP38-2 204, VTR GP40 301 and GMTX GP38-2 2663. The VTR 303 and 308 are both former B&M GP40-2s that VRS owns...
