Whilst we're on an 'Atlantic' theme and following Brian Stephenson's recent posting, here's another wonderful century-old image by a skilled but unknown photographer. Passing a London bound train, Great Northern Railway 'C1' 4-4-2 No.1402 forges northward past a fine set of GNR 'somersault' signals. Imagine what a sight this must have been in colour with the full glory of Great Northern green livery. Gasp!
