They're back! Pan Am Southern has recently made a concerted marketing effort on the Conn River Line between East Northfield, MA and White River Jct., VT, where they hold trackage rights over the New England Central Railroad. Having spent the past 2 years making trips only as far north as Claremont, NH, the PAS only began returning to White River Jct. in March and is quickly growing its customer base and interchange traffic with the Claremont Concord and the Washington Co. Railroad in White River Jct. In a rare morning run down the Conn River, the WJED is seen in two states - the head end is in Cornish, NH and the trailing 11 cars are still in Vermont; Mt. Ascutney looms in the distance. Be sure to check out more photos at http://steelwheelsphotography.com
