Union Pacific's OWOVW-07 unit copper ore train tops Cherry Hill on the Salt Lake Subdivision at Kaysville, Utah. This train originated on the UP at Wendover, Utah and will terminate at the port of Vancouver, Washington. The train has five GE AC motors set up 3x2 DPU, moving 66 loads, 0 empties, with a train length of 4208 feet and 8542 tons. The copper ore was mined at Ruth, Nevada (near Ely) and was trucked to the former WP railhead at Wendover, Nevada. From Vancouver, Washington it will be export shipped across the waters of the Pacific to China. The OWOVW and OVWWO copper ore trains have been in operation since 2005.
