Remarks & Notes |
Last week my fiancée and I hired fellow RP contributor Ross Fotheringham to take some family engagement photos in a field next to BNSF's Scenic Subdivision. We're something of an odd family because Cortney's "girls," Amira and Splendid, are 4 and 14, have four legs and weigh about 900 pounds each. As we were getting them settled after the trailer ride -- acres upon acres of fresh grass eased the process, particularly for the excitable filly -- Amtrak's eastbound Empire Builder rushed by, capturing the attention of both mares: They had never before seen a train, never mind a shiny, fast-moving silver thing nearly a quarter-mile long. |
