After 2 days of wind, rain, sleet, hail and snow, sometimes all of them at the same time, Memorial Day 2012 dawned bright and clear in eastern Nevada. This shot has been on my must do list for many years and today was the day to try it. Here is the MRVRO just tipping over the summit of Silver Zone Pass on the Union Pacific Shafter Sub. The snow dusted Pequop Mountains rise above the train from across the Goshute Valley. Ahead lies Arnold’s Loop and Wendover.
