Remarks & Notes
Although attractively lettered for New York Central, locomotive 4096 never ran for the railroad. Instead, it was built as an E7 demonstrator and used on the 'Train of Tomorrow' streamliner special during the late 1940s. Eventually it passed to Union Pacific, and later Amtrak and was progressively upgraded to an E9. Today it is a feature exhibit within the Danbury Railway Museum, Connecticut, where it is seen here.

Engine Details

Generally speaking, shots where less than a full engine is shown. But I want to feature details, not half engines or full cabs, and definitely not full nose shots. Just shots where someone has zoomed in with purpose.
