NS train 960, one of two lite power moves from Spencer, NC (the other went to Knoxville), arrives in downtown Roanoke near midnight. An impromptu photo was arranged in front of the Roanoke rail cam so that all the viewers could get a slow roll-by of the arriving heritage fleet, and the setup of flashes could be viewed "live" online. The train consisted of four GE ES44AC's, eight EMD SD70ACe's, one GP30, and two passenger cars. This is the result of the quickly arranged photo that was watched from the railcam, which is mounted on the overhead walkway in the distance. For more information, visit www.nscorp.com
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
