| "I'll take a set of 36 and while you're at it gimmie a wheel truing too please!" Union Pacific's 150th Anniversary Special is stopped Stone Cold Still at The Dalles, OR near the end of Double Track at Crates. Just ahead about a half mile the local fire department is getting a small brush fire under control which is no easy task considering the constant winds that blow through the Columbia River Gorge. After about a 2 hour delay much to the delight of many rail enthusiasts chasing this train allowing them additional photos opportunities, it will be underway again enroute to Portland and eventually Eugene. |
