Lansing Iowa; a small quaint river town with a railroad running right through the middle of it. This once thriving town is now clinging for life on the tourist and boating industry on the Mississippi River. While the river boats may not steam through Lansing anymore, the railroad is still a frequent sight clogging up the streets of "downtown". The people, like the trains, seem to take a slower pace in town, something I miss in my own life. 170 skirts along the river on the south side of Lansing Iowa.
