The former Trans Europe Express RAe TEE II # 1053 made its first publicly advertised trip after the revision via the Gotthard route to Ticino and to the italian Luino on the shore of Lago Maggiore. The elegant trainset, dating from 1961, is on the way back now and just crossing the bridge over the Giona river in Maccagno/Italy. Sadly, the RAe TEE II isn't allowed any more to run in Italy, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands and Austria like in old days, but the line to Luino is an SBB line!
