Folks along Utah's Wasatch Front can't seem to get enough of rail transit. No less than four separate projects are under construction right now. The latest (begun in April) is the two mile Sugar House Streetcar line. It will begin at a connection with the Blue/Red/Green light rail lines at Central Point station (21st South), heading due east toward the community of Sugar House. The right of way is a portion of the former D&RGW Park City Branch. The new line will be light rail, mostly single tracked, with a passing siding at a station midway. It is scheduled to open by the end of 2013.
