New locomotive refection A brand-new Union Pacific SD60M pauses on the main line at Kearney, Nebraska, on July 12, 1990. This eastbound train was stopped, with another eastbound train in front of him and the crew invited my future wife up in the new cab of No. 6149 to take a look at the new desktop controls and comfort cab (at least that’s what I was told!). She’s barely visible in the center window. Needless to say, the train wasn’t going anywhere, and I’m sure the crew enjoyed the visit and watching the goofy railfan getting a “different angle.”
