A 1700 t intermodal train, pulled by two BR 185 and pushed by a third BR 185 passing the rock site, which was closed for four weeks during June. In March 2012 a first rock fell on the track, on June 5th suddenly another 2000 m3 / 75'000 cu ft of rock thundered down, hitting three workers, of which one died. Then the Gotthard line was closed for good and on June 18th a blasting team prepared the rock nose and another 2500 m3 were blown off. On July 2nd the line was opened again, still with construction work for a safety net going on.
