Remarks & Notes |
It's a special time for EMD fans all across the Upper Midwest. in 2010 CP brought out of storage their SOO SD60s, and also placed in numerous EMDs into the general pool. The former DM&E and IC&E lines have been a strong hold for these old work horses. On these lines it's always a mixed bag of Blue and Gold power and various shades of red. One can experience the Chicago Sub in the early 1990s when SOO SD60s were common, or the Chicago Sub in the mid-late 90s when CP's influx became greater. This lash has a mixed bag of units that are no strangers to this territory. CP 5900 leads a couple of CAD SD60s and an IC&E SD40-2, all working hard to keep their train at a steady 40 mph across a stretch of stick rail. |
