The KFOR train 80664/90001 from Skopje-FYROM on the way back to Mönchengladbach-Germany through Thessaloniki, pictured at the Hellenic station Strymonas, close to the Hellenic-Bulgarian borders. The train headed by two ÖBB-TRACTION test locomotives from Vienna, something which was very unusual for the Balkan region. On this test run are used one dual current electric locomotive of the class 1116 “Taurus” for the electrified lines and one diesel locomotive of the class 2016 “Hercules” for the non-electrified lines, in order to be measured the cross border times.
