Remarks & Notes
For seven months (between April and November 1991), the Utah Railway Company leased a fleet of 13 Blue & Gold SD40s from Morrison Knudsen in Boise, Idaho. A well matched set of four blast through Sutro Cut, headed east to the coal mines in Carbon County. The MPI 9012 was originally an SD45, built the Southern Pacific 9083 by EMD in March 1969.
