| Transnet's Phelophepa 2 health care train waits on the main line at Boons, while a 45-wagon container train snakes its way through the loop, westbound to Mafikeng. Like all the stations on this line, Boons was once a manned station with semaphore signals - now it is a siding with hand thrown points connected to disc signals - all in the name of progress. |
