| I've never seen a photograph taken at the delightfully named 'Cromwell Bottom' in the Calder valley near Elland. Probably because the best photographic location here was previously occupied by a brickworks. Recent demolition means that this fine view is once again possible. Regrettably, the 'tin shed' syndrome has crept ever further along this once attractive valley and it's now almost impossible to avoid their unsightly presence. It was a pleasure to see 'Union of South Africa'' in fine form on such a lovely September morning. |
