| Reading & Northern's Sunday 'Mountain Job' works upgrade and is about to enter Mahanoy Tunnel on its trek from Port Clinton to Locust Summit. The Mahanoy Tunnel was completed in 1862 and at 4,000 feet long was the longest tunnel on the former Reading. The steel structure at the bottom of the frame is a part of the ventilation system used at the tunnel in the steam era. |
