Nickel Plate Road 765 sits at NS Berkeley Yard after a day of running down from Decatur, IL as NS Train 099. A pair of Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society Watchmen are up on the engine keeping her hot through the night and were very accommodating to our requests for the headlight, numberboards and classification lights to be on.
Thanks to FWRHS's Kelly Lynch, George and Tyler Kester, and Steven Harvey, among others for their comradeship. Taken with permission from NS Corp. and Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
