So that's why it's called Tanglefoot. Rio Grande 2-8-2 485 (actually 489 in disguise) winds its way through Tanglefoot Curve on its way to Cumbres. The train started at the base of the hills in the distance, then came through the curves visible above the first car. After winding around the horseshoe, the 485 will pass in front of the camera again on the track in the foreground, now facing away from the photographer. |
