Class 150, no. 150130 crossing Forder Viaduct in Cornwall with a Gunnislake - Liskeard commuter train. The interesting route of this train takes it under the Tamar Bridge out of view behind the hills to the left into Plymouth and back out again over the same route as far as Keyham.
Behind the viaduct Forder Viaduct is the Hamoaze or tidal section of the River Tamar where the largest naval base (Devonport) in the UK is located. F238 - HMS Northumberland - a Type 23 Frigate has just moved into position behind the viaduct having arrived from sea before moving into one of the wharfs adjacent to Keyham on the opposite bank. Therefore it is quite rare to capture a large warship moored so close to this viaduct. |
