| Many a railfan dreams of an elevated vantage point near the throat over a major terminal. For Boston-area fans, the North Bank Bridge near North Station fulfills that dream. Between revenue trains and deadhead moves between North Station and Boston Engine Terminal, there is a constant stream of trains even during the middle of the day. Here Lowell Line train 323 rolls over the Charles River on one of two rolling lift bridges in a chaotic scene indicative of the complex operation of operating a main line terminus. |
