A westbound freight, led by a trio of blue and yellow SD40-2's, kicks up dust as it blasts through Byron, MN. The conductor of this very friendly crew gives me the peace sign as they fly by me. This may be the last time I photograph both an ICE SD40-2 and train 277 in Byron. Rumor has it, CP will not be renewing the leases on these units and on top of that, this train is being renumbered and rerouted, just one of many changes by E. Hunter Harrison. The DM&E as I once knew it may become a thing of the past in the very near future.
