Here's a great example of being at the right place at the right time: a four way meet is taking place along the former D&RGW at Utah Railway Junction. At left, the SSW 6890 is stopped on the GJWSM, middle, Amtrak's California Zephyr train #5 prepares to crossover through the switches at 'URJ', at right, Utah Railway's UPIPC waits its turn at the junction. Out of view behind the photographer, D&RGW 5508 is stopped on the ROHPC on the same track as #5. A perfect storm or a 'jackpot' for fans of train dispatching. You might consider this a five way meet as SP's hot DVRVF (with the SP 9721 on the point) is right behind Amtrak #5. Note the traditional and the casual apparel of the Utah Railway crew. No green safety vests, and check out the cut off shorts. Can't imagine Amtrak #5 getting a more thorough rollby than right here at Utah Railway Junction on July 10, 1993.
