Owing to New Jersey's damage from Hurricane Sandy, several ethanol trains are being detoured over other routes to Providence, Rhode Island for transloading. On November 3, the first detoured train to use the Green Mountain Gateway route from Whitehall, NY to Providence, RI via Vermont Rail System, New England Central, and Providence & Worcester, was moved. Leased CEFX SD9043MACs 130 and 125 are moving the first 45 cars through Okemo Ski Resort at Ludlow, VT.
