| On a warm Veteran's Day, 122 tanks of Bakken crude oil comes into Albany with a huge CP 608. The train, with CP 8953, 9666 & DPU unit 9720(not shown) is entering the former Colonie Yard limits on the historic D&H line. Recently Buckeye Partners announced a new contract to ship crude to Irving Oil from it's newly expanded terminal in the Albany Port. This is my first shot of a DPU powered unit oil train in the Capital District. The old Colonie Yard has been also been cleared and expanded with newly added tracks to accommodate the new surge of unit oil trains to come into 2013. |
