Lonely but intact in a once booming coal train yard, Utah Railway's train depot at Hiawatha feels the heat of a warm July afternoon in 1993. The stucco clad structure was once a joint station when the Southern Utah Railroad offered McKeen car passenger service from Price. The building survives today, devoid of any tracks near the old United States Fuel 'King Coal' company town of Hiawatha.
Oh the stories these special buildings could tell. Originally the brains of the rails they monitored, working to insure effecient rail service for our nation! A tribute!
