Hanging in there like a hair in a biscuit, these AC units appear to be earning their keep performing pusher duty on the western side of the infamous Elkhorn Grade in Southern West Virginia. The grade is apparent here, and note the crooked N&W signal towers still in use. Also, note the plated over opening on the nose where the headlight should have been, but appears it was changed for NS.
