Wisconsin Central GP35 No. 4007 and a former C&NW GP7 are busting drifts on the former Fox River Valley line through Campbellsport, Wisconsin, after a snowstorm on January 30, 1996. This line was plugged with drifts, and a former C&NW manager now with the WC decided they would plow the line with a plow extra like they used to; get a couple of locomotives, tie the horn down and run like hell through the snow. Here, the plow extra is flying blind through the white stuff, horn blaring almost constantly because of the limited (read, none) visibility and the grade crossings on the line. Maybe not as cool as using a dedicated snowplow, but still effective, since the extra did open the line!
