| L&N caboose #1092 was decorated for the Christmas holidays this morning by the good folks of Tullahoma. Built in 1964, it was one of the later cabooses to be built by L&N. Today it made a mighty nice shelter from the biting wind while waiting between trains. The signal to the right of the caboose once stood at the entrance to the Cowan tunnel, but was decommissioned several years ago and now has a permanent home here. Q029 rolls by all this history as it travels from Chicago to Atlanta. |
