P12 powers an afternoon Sunbury commuter service through Ginifer station in suburban Melbourne, with P16 bringing up the rear. This was the last week of diesel services to Sunbury, with the newly extended electrification being in use from the following weekend. The 'H' type passenger cars were converted from 'Harris' suburban EMUs in the mid 80's, and are through-cabled for these push-pull operations, which still continue to run on peak hour services to Bacchus Marsh.
