The business of mining and hauling coal has historically been a cycle of boom and bust. Coal traffic was phenomenal in the mid-1990s with the Utah Railway hauling multiple trains per day, seven days per week. Here the third train of the day from Provo Yard heads east through Sutro Cut, bound for the busy coal mines of Carbon County. |
