A novelty back in 1994, this was Ferro Expreso Pampeano's first proper paint scheme, after a shy attempt with a modified red/yellow ex-Ferrocarriles Argentinos scheme. This first (and 6588-only) variation had a "FEPSA" logo in black and white and yellow and black safety stripes in the pilot. Subsequent, and definitively adopted as "final", paint scheme retained red as basic colour but logo contained railroad name "Ferro Expreso Pampeano" spelled out, and pilot safety stripes changed to red and white. Train consist includes tank cars loaded with vegetable oil for processing in one of Avellaneda's Riachuelo riverside mills.
