Amtrak train #711, a five-car westbound San Joaquin, clatters across the the WP and then the SP diamonds at Stockton Tower on July 6th, 1976. The diminutive train, heading from Bakersfield CA to Richmond CA, is being pulled by Amtrak's standard power of the mid-1970s - an EMD SDP40F.
