| A group of tired beat up mongrels gather at the Escanaba Roundhouse on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The Baldwin/EMD rebuilds were in pretty rough shape and tended to be kept close to home around the Escanaba area. Weekends were normally a good time to find them at the house as if they had made it through the week they generally landed to be tinkered with to try to get them through the next week without much fuss. Normal assignments for them at this time were ore dock service or the odd road trip to Ishpeming always trailing a C628 or two. |
