Remarks & Notes |
In the early years of WC's existence the CPR seemed to use the Sault Ste. Marie gateway for some interesting detour moves on more than a few occasions. The issues were varied but it sure brought some interesting units into Upper Michigan. This detour due to a washout near Schreiber brought hot CPR east-west traffic through Upper Michigan for a couple of days. Here two CPR St. Luc-west coast trains have been combined(including ultra hot 471) and are just leaving Gladstone with 1800,4243 and 1837 for power. |
