| The temperature has climbed all the way up to -16 celcius as I stand in the middle of the main highway between Pontresina and Tirano, Italy. Were it summer this would be rather foolish but on this day we’ve seen only a dozen well-spaced autos and a few local buses. Train 1652 from Tirano drifts along with two on-demand stops remaining before reaching Pontresina. |
