| GMTX 9041 started life as EMDX 3, an SD60 demonstrator. In the early '90s the unit was equipped with EMD's new HTCR radial trucks for testing purposes, and it remains the only SD60 to ever ride on radial trucks. Here we find GMTX 9041 posing in perfect morning sunlight on the P&L at Louisville after an overnight run from Paducah on train PL4. Although this was PL4's rear unit, I was able to catch this unobstructed view as the yard crew brought the light power back through the yard. |
