So much has changed in this scene in the last 20 years. The all "yellowbonnet" lashups on priority trains largely disappeared with the arrival of the "Super Fleet" The wonderful cowl ATS&F F45s and FP45s would vanish fairly quickly in a few years after that. By the BNSF era in '96, triple track would be the rule here with Metrolink trains coming out of the urban sprawl to the big suburban subdivisions that sprang up by the mid-nineties to these once quiet foothills. |
