| CNW's lone RS-11 has been in the roundhouse for a little work and now is getting a test run with a couple machinists and a hostler on board near the roundhouse at Escanaba. When the smaller 4 axle Alco's first arrived in Escanaba-Green Bay after the transfer from Huron in the early 80's they looked pretty good as most of them had been repainted in the last couple years before the move east. This unit normally worked the Powers-Antoine turn or the Niagara WI paper mill and usually only ventured into Escanaba or Green Bay for shop work. In the background to the left of the unit you can see Little Bay de Noc. |
