Forgotten in time, then remembered. This lonely gas station on the southern outskirts of Clarksville, MO, has serviced its share of automobiles and seen its share of trains over the years. It is possible that this filling station witnessed CB&Q trains streaking by on their way to and from St. Louis. But this gas station became a victim of time, and now it sits abandoned. Up until recently the station was barely visible from the road, overgrown with brush and weeds. However, someone recently took the time to expose this old relic, and now this station once forgotten in time has become a visible landmark of times gone by. All the while though, many BNSF trains have came and went. Here, the Hannibal Sub local has slowed in preparation for its stop at the Holcium Cement plant north of town.
