For over 100 years, trains have been rolling along the Left Fork of the Buckhannon River. This line was originally constructed by the Alexander Lumber Co. for the sole purpose of moving logs. In the early 1950's, after being abandoned for over a decade, the railroad was resurrected to haul coal. The line's right of way retains much of the logging heritage with its tight curves and steep grades. Beech Mtn 113 is shown negotiating a tight curve near Alexander, WV that will change its compass bearing from a northwest to southeast direction.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
