| Timing is everything! A quick, unplanned stop at Edison Station yielded several unusual moves in the span of about a half-hour, including two NJ Transit equipment extras from Morrisville, PA and this Conrail freight. This Conrail transfer from Oak Island Yard to Metuchen Yard made a rare appearance in Edison. OI-82 would normally enter Metuchen Yard at Lincoln Interlocking two miles to the north. An issue at Lincoln caused the train to run south on track 2 to Edison where they entered Metuchen Yard from the south via a reverse move through Edison Interlocking. OI-82 is seen shoving north after stopping clear of the signal. Power is CSXT 1537 & 8855 an interesting combination of GP15 and SD40-2 (both ex-Conrail). |
