The sight of the two surviving Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway 0-6-0 tender locomotives in traffic and hauling a train together in tandem is unlikely to be seen again for many a long year. The Class 27 No.1300 (of 1896) is seen piloting Class 25 No. 957 (of 1884). The weekend's planned schedules were disrupted by a serious 'Police Incident' that restricted operations to the Damems to Oxenhope section. The pair made a stirring and memorable sight and one I will treasure for a long time.
