| 6543 scoots east with a short 6 car train. If you look close you can see a couple of logs ready to unload off the first car. Over the years I became pretty vigilant about looking the first few cars of the train over for loose logs. It was a good idea to move back after the shot so u didn't end up wearing one. During one of the WC's first winters so many high value veneer logs had fallen off trains between Newberry and Trout Lake that a crew was put to work with a crane and gondola to retrieve them. Some serious track work put most of this problem to rest. |
