Remarks & Notes |
Amtrak's westbound Southwest Chief train #3 splits the classic semaphore blades at the east end of the siding at Wagon Mound, New Mexico enroute from Chicago to Los Angeles. This segment of the former ATSF in northern New Mexico is the last opportunity to see a large group of these semaphore signals in daily mainline use in the US and is well worth a visit for those who missed seeing these types of signals in other locations around the country before their gradual demise. |
