A Conrail intermodal train smokes its way out of the Gallitzin Tunnel at Gallitzin, Pennsylvania, on October 23, 1988. Powering the westbound train is a EMD duo of SD50 No. 6729 and SD40 No. 6252. In 1995, the Gallitzin Tunnel was abandoned in favor of an adjoining, enlarged, double track Allegheny Tunnel.
