Remarks & Notes
While the conductor of the Paradise Local checks his paperwork for what work needs to be done at Tricon Timber, LLC., Montana Rail Link GP9 No. 113 sprints for St. Regis just (railroad) east of Paradise, Montana, on September 15, 2011. Originally built in February 1957 by Electro-Motive Division as Northern Pacific GP9 No. 291, the locomotive later became Burlington Northern No. 1729, finally coming to the MRL on November 1, 1987. The 56-year-old locomotive can still be found polishing home rails operating on the Paradise Local today!
